Defeated

Ever have those days where you feel completely defeated. Your spirit feels let down and you get all mopey. Its where Im living today.

Em is cutting what seems like ALL of her teeth and I can do nothing to make it better for her. Shes very dramatic and she'll fling herself onto the floor with her hands over her head and just wail and wail. I feel so bad for her.
Wyatt keeps telling me that my dinner is "disgusting" Dude...it took me 3 hours to make dinner tonight.
I gave Randy one task this week of asking his superior if he can get off a couple hours early Friday. All he needed to do was mention it at the beginning of the week to give her heads up. He keeps "forgetting." K, whatever.
This house. Oh my. This house. I swear I clean for 2 hours everyday. EVERYDAY. When the kids go down for "quiet time." And each day I feel like all I do is clean up from the previous night. It never gets more clean than the surface crap. We still have to do the deep cleaning and packing to get the house "show ready" for when we try and sell it. Im in denial because Im afraid/don't want to move again. Mostly it doesn't feel "real" yet because we don't know where we are going.

Oh and least I not forget that every time I talk to my dad he answers the phone "McCain Campaign Headquarters" and most importantly the speech I get from dad and my brother about how Obama will tax guns and ammo up to 500% Ok... Im too tired this far into election season to tell them that its as much bullshit as well as outlandish. Dad....Dave.... please....the next time you want to convert me by waving a ridiculous notion over my head......www.factcheck.org

Defeated. Just defeated. All this great fun Halloweeny stuff going on around us, and Im just feeling like the "let-down" punchline in a bad Saturday Night Live skit. Ba doom boom.

Tomorrow will be better.

Holiday Spirit

We're all in fine holiday spirit here. By holiday I mean Halloween & the Fall Season. The way I feel about Halloween is how most folks feel about Christmas. It's just my thing. Dead things, fall colors, the smell of burning leaves, my wedding anniversary, the start of the "cold" season, pumpkin farms. Love it all. I'm trying to instill my love of the holiday into the kids. They ain't bitin. Not yet anyway, although I did manage to get Wyatt to love Nightmare before Christmas. Its a start I guess.

Anyway... We went to Land of the Giants. Randy helped farmer Dave out in the field and in return, Farmer Dave said we could pick a few of anything we wanted. We got this monstrous pumpkin and also some other pumpkins with the biggest fattest stems I've ever seen.

Oh...a moment to love on my hubbys arm muscles. He helped unload like 30 of these bad boys and I was drooling and taking pictures. He ain't got a bad bum either. Love you hunny!

Time for fall themed sugar cookies too :)

Also... we went to Apple Holler. Haven't been there in a while. Prices kind of have us heading for the hills.... but .... They have the coolest corn thingy....

Doesn't that look like fun?!

Who is your Candidate ?

http://www.vajoe.com/candidate_calculator.html

I love this calculator. You can click on the issues and learn more about them if your not sure where each side is on it. I am 75% Obama and Nadar tied.

After an alarming conversation with my mum, I made her take this quiz. (I refused to believe she had republican views, not that there is anything wrong with having that view, I just know she doesn't sit right in the mold) I was right...she is soooo not republican. I don't think she knew that.

This is an important election! Find out where you are on the issues that are important to you, and vote for who's best! This is your life, and your voting for your future as well as your children's future.

Holy hell, when did I start to care so much about this stuff???? I wore an anarchists pin for 4 straight years in high school. Oooooh, I was so cool.

And ladies.....

I don't know where public school failed me. I know they must have touched on this, must have been when I knew everything and wore the anarchists pin, but I've recently looked into it myself. Women's Sufferage. Do you know what those women went through just to give us the right to vote? It's amazing! They were arrested, beaten, even tortured for picketing the White House. If your not the reading kind...Go watch "Iron Jawed Angels"

These women deserve our adoration!

As women, we owe it to them to vote. You can't bitch if you don't vote right?
What would Susan say ?

I will now come down from my soap box. have a pleasant evening!

Weight Loss Gods

Ummm....

Went to buy new shoes today. Went to my normal section. Grabbed my normal size. Too Big. Ok. Maybe its just the shoe? Tried another one...too big. And another, and another. What the hell ? Went to the next lower size..... perfect fit.

Seriously ? Ummm....

Attention weight loss Gods:

I have been working my butt off to hopefully "work my butt off" and you give me smaller feet instead of a smaller ass ? Really ? Next time your flicking your magic wand at my body, could you aim it at a spot that isnt so redundant ?

Thaaaanks!
